Google Consent Mode v2

Borlabs Cookie 3.0 has supported Consent Mode v2 since November 2023. A detailed setup guide is available here: Setup Google Tag Manager (local) in Borlabs Cookie 3.0

Our Consent Mode integration was reviewed by independent Google expert Simo Ahava, co-founder of Simmer, and found to be correctly implemented.

One of the key advantages of Consent Mode v2 is that it is entirely JavaScript-based and can be implemented independently of us or the Google CMP Partner Program.

Our preconfigured packages and comprehensive documentation make it possible to implement the Advanced Consent Mode within just a few minutes. They also support complex configurations of the Basic Consent Mode via the Google Tag Manager.

Preconfigured packages are available for Google Analytics and Google Ads, supporting both Advanced Consent Mode and Basic Consent Mode.

Google CMP Partner Program

We submitted our application for the Google CMP Partner Program in early January 2024. However, due to high demand, Google is currently experiencing significant delays in the certification process. As we have already signed a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) with Google, we are not permitted to disclose any further details until our certification has been completed.

We would like to emphasise once again that certification is not required to use Consent Mode. The primary purpose of the certification is to provide Google with a list of partners whose Consent Management Platforms have implemented Consent Mode in accordance with Google's technical specifications and offer a straightforward setup process.
