CaFée mit Herz has been providing people in need with free food, drink and clothing every day at the St. Pauli health center since 2000. It also offers social work assistance, shower facilities, a clothing store and medical and dental care for guests without health insurance.

DeinTopf gives out hot meals, food and hygiene items 5 days a week to homeless and poverty-stricken people in Hamburg's Karoviertel neighborhood, with a team of volunteers and help from businesses and restaurants.

The Corona pandemic has brought many things to a standstill, including soup kitchens and other drop-in centers for homeless and needy people in Hamburg. The "Food Truck" is a supplement and a link between the existing offers. The "Food Truck" provides homeless Hamburgers with food, drinks and an open ear at a central location.

The shower bus for people on the street. Everyone has the right to wash, but not everyone gets the chance. The shower bus stops at various locations in the city to be accessible to as many people as possible. The use is free, all guests get clean laundry and care products - in privacy.

Hamburger Tafel collects surplus food from retailers and manufacturers and distributes it to 31 food distribution points in and around Hamburg.

As a private association, the Hamburger Tierschutzverein (HTV) depends on financial support from animal-loving people in order to be able to carry out its work to protect animals. About two thirds of the annual operating costs of around six million euros must be raised through donations!

Hinz&Kunzt offers unbureaucratic employment for people who have little chance on the labor market and promotes the social climate in Hamburg: the sale of the magazine helps to reduce fear of contact and prejudices between rich and poor. In addition, Hinz&Kunzt is an employer for the formerly homeless and a strong voice against poverty in the city.

The donation-financed Kinder-Hospiz Sternenbrücke helps terminally ill children, adolescents and young adults up to the age of 27 to walk a dignified path until their death.

The mobile dental practice of the DRK Kreisverband Hamburg Altona und Mitte e.V. has been in operation since the beginning of May 2016. The mobile practice addresses the homeless citizens in Hamburg. They offer free treatment to the needy without health insurance and are there to help and advise them. The team consists of volunteer dentists, assistance staff and drivers.
