In the following document, we will show you how you can use Optinmonster in conjunction with our cookie plugin in a DSGVO-compliant manner.
Step 1 - Create Script Blocker
In the first step, create a Script Blocker. To do this, click on the "Add new" button in the "Script Blocker" menu.
In the following, select the page on which you use Optinmonster. Since the Optinmonster scripts are loaded globally, you do not have to select a page here.
Under search phrase, additionally enter the phrases optinmonster, omappapi and then click on the button "Scan".
After the scan is complete, click on the "Next" button.
Configure Script Blocker
Afterward, the appropriate handles and phrases should already have been selected automatically. Enter an ID and a name here, and set the status of the script blocker to ON.
Then click on the button "Create Script Blocker".
In the next step, click on the button "Save all settings". You have now blocked all relevant scripts for OptinMonster.
Next, you need to create a cookie. For this, first, copy the unblocking code for cookies.
Step 2 - Set up cookie
Click on the "Add new" button under Cookies in the "Marketing" cookie group.
Select "Custom" as the service and click on "Next".

Now enter the same ID here that you already entered when setting up the Script Blocker, assign a corresponding name and provider, name the purpose, enter the link to the privacy policy and set the status to ON.

In addition, paste the previously copied script (unblock code) under HTML & JavaScript → Opt-in Code.
Then click on the button "Save all settings".
